In 2020, Walmart tapped the Foundry for help spreading the word about their new subscription-based service, Walmart+.
The team delivered by creating three long-form videos and six premium digital articles across several Dotdash Meredith brands, including Better Homes & Gardens, Real Simple, and Parents. Overall messaging was focused on celebrating moments big and small.
Video content included an epic trunk-or-treat experience and surprise Jason Derulo concert, a Thanksgiving cooking experience with chef Marcus Samuelsson, and a next-level quinceañera celebration with singer Sofia Reyes. The digital articles, which featured tips for the perfect self-care Sunday, DIY Halloween activities for kids, and more, were shoppable so readers could easily order what they’d need from Walmart directly from the content to recreate the experiences at home. This plussed-up messaging was extended into 2021 to continue demonstrating how Walmart+ can help readers make the most of every occasion.
